Abstract: Nasal reconstruction is one of the most frequent tasks a plastic surgeon must surpass. Many times it
encompasses a complex defect including outer/inner layers as well as structural support
In subtotal/total reconstructions, the forehead flap is usually the workhorse.
We present the case of a nose reconstruction of a 68 years old patient, with a recidivated tumor in the
middle third of the dorsum nasi extending towards the sidewalls.
The forehead flap is a reliable option in difficult cases; it offers a large amount of tissue to use in
extended resections and the patient may benefit afterwards from radiotherapy in order to consolidate the
result.

Keywords: reconstruction, local flaps.
